About
Old Hobart Town is a historical model village showcasing a 1:16 scale replica of Hobart as it was 200 years ago. It features over 500 hand molded characters and more than 60 buildings designed using original plans from the 1820s. We offer historical insights into Hobart and Tasmania's history, information on how this unique model was made, and challening activities for visitors of all ages. This model has been carefully maintained and improved since being built by father and son, operating since 1990.
